Welcome to the exciting world of Environmental Science! As you embark on this journey through our first-year course, you will be diving into an interdisciplinary field that not only holds the key to our understanding of the world around us, but also plays a crucial role in shaping our future. 

Throughout this course, you will be provided with an inter-disciplinary introduction to environmental science, focusing on the interconnections between biological, geological, and chemical processes. You will learn about the basic science behind environmental interactions and place it within the context of human impacts and dependence on the natural world. 

Additionally, we will delve into the critical aspects of human interaction with the environment, including the management and sustainability of resources within the context of our economies, governments, and individual choices. 

This course will also offer the opportunity to evaluate solutions to environmental issues and examine how they are implemented in our societies.
