Computing and Data Science

This course is designed to provide you basic principles of computer networking and practice in network programming. The course consists primarily of lectures and labs. The assessment consists of 5-6 lab exercises, 3 written assignments, 1 programming assignment, 1 midterm exam, and 1 final examination. Major topics to be covered include: network architecture, reference models, application-layer protocols, transport protocols (TCP, UDP), congestion control, flow control, IP, routing, medium access control, and local area networks.
