This course aims to provide students with an in-depth introduction to Machine Learning and its application to Industrial Engineering. It will cover some basic concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model training, testing, and validation, as well as the main models and algorithms for classification and regression. Topics such as linear and logistic regression, regularization, probabilistic inference, support vector machines, kernel methods, dimensionality reduction, feedforward neural networks, convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, reinforcement learning will be discussed in detail
